Description

Local Council Araba is situated in the Lower Galilee, between Sahnin and Dir Hanna, SE of Karmiel. Local Council since 1965, pop: 16,000, most of them Muslims. Mr. Mustafa Lahuani, LC General Manage sent me a hand written and painted construction sheet of the emblem as follows:

  • Onion - black roots, brown onion, green leaves
  • Melon - yellow with brown stripes
  • Watermelon - red with green peel and black seeds
The flag is white with the emblem in natural colours. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 1487, 21 November 1968.
