Hulon (pronounced Khulon, from the Hebrew word khol meaning sand, appears in the Bible: Joshua 15,51) is situated in the south of Gush Dan, south to Tel Aviv and east to Bat-Yam. Est. 1940. Pop. 185,000. I spotted a flag on the city hall, a blue emblem on white rectangle on a national flag in reversed colours (blue background, white stripes), no inscription. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot, Yalkut ha-Pirsumim), YP 633, 13 November 2001.
