Overview

On November 29, 1945 when the Yugoslav Constitutional Assembly declared Federative People's Republic of Yugoslavia, Federal State of Croatia was renamed into People's Republic of Croatia (Narodna republika Hrvatska). However, it continued to use previous flag and coat-of-arms until January 18, 1947, when Croatian Constitutional Assembly officially adopted new symbols.
