Overview

The community of Klinca Sela is in the Zagreb County, about 15 km southwest from Zagreb. Some 5,000 inhabitants, about 1,000 living in the capital village of the same name. The name of the community in the 1992 legislation on subdivision was spelt "Klinca sela", but in 1995 the capital form is use "Klinca Sela" (which is more correct according to the Croatian ortography anyway). In some previous books I have also found the name given in singular form as "Klinca Selo" but that may not have been the official spelling.
The Coat of Arms is shown on the site of the community: Opc'ina Klinca Sela where there is also a photo of the flag in the community assembly (though almost entirely covered by the speaker, the white border of the Coat of Arms is barely visible). The coat of arms is: azure three piles argent. The piles or wedges (wedge in Croatian is klin) are canting.
