Vinica is a community fortyish km west of Varaždin, about
4,000 inhabitants (1993). Even to a non-Slavic speaker the root
of the place-name should be obvious and after looking at Coat of
Arms even more so. The Coat of Arms is shown at County web site

one may found Statut Opcine Vinica, 19. rujna 2002, Službeni
vjesnik Varaždinske županije, br. 19/02, 11. listopada
2002. The Statute describes the Coat of Arms and the flag that
must have been adopted earlier (I estimate around 1995). The more
proper blazon following the description in the statutes is: azure
a vine tree vert with five bunches of grapes or.
The flag is blue with the coat of arms bordered yellow in the
middle.
