On the official web site of the County of Varadin, <www.varazdinska-zupanija.hr>,
some communities are represented with their coats of arms,
presumably those who have adopted them as yet.
Cestica - Azure a vine tree proper fructed or winding around a
latin cross argent issuant from a triple mount vert. The Coat of
Arms is also seen at the flagmaker site <www.valentino.hr>, not as a
flag, but rather as kind of a decorative patch on white
background. Population: 5,800 (Zemljopisni atlas Republike
Hrvatske", kolska knjiga, Zagreb 1993).

The flag is light blue with the golden bordered coat of arms
in the middle.
Cestica was known until 1910 as Cestica (C<estica). A vicinal
village is Kriovljan and the local parish dedicated to the
Assencion of the Holy Cross, so the cross in the coat of arms
must be reffering to that. Vine production is, of course,
traditional and important in the region. I estimate the
adoption date to 1997, but this should be taken with margin of a
few years.
