Overview

Tomislav pointed me to the site of Trilj (<mapmf.pmfst.hr/~ncovic>) with nice drawings of the flags and coat of arms. Trilj is an old town on Cetina river, since antiquity there was a bridge built and thus was an important point. It was caled Pons Tiluri or Tilurium. Today this is a site of intensive recreative tourism, promoting healthy way fo life (cycleing in nature, walking, rafting on Centina etc.). The city area numbers over 13,000 inhabitants, but only some 2,200 in the town itself. It is located inlands some 30 km due east of Split. The city patron is St. Michael, the church was built in 1900. The modern bridge (that also features on the coat of arms) is built only in 1851. Until 1998 Trilj had community status.
The Coat of Arms of Trilj is azure St. Michael hoding a sword and scales standing on a bridge all argent. The flag is light blue with the coat of arms bordered golden in the middle.
I strongly suspect that there is a ceremonial flag, and I would guess that it has inscribed "Trilj na Cetini" that seems to be the "full" name of the city that the inhabitants prefer (though officially it is only Trilj and there is no reason to add the name of the river for distinction, since I do not believe that there is any other Trilj around).
