Overview

Omiš is a city in the Split-Dalmatia County about 25 km south of Split at the point where the river Cetina enters the sea through a monumental gorge. Today the city's main industry is tourism. About 15,000 inhabitanst, 6,000 of them in the city itself.
The coat of arm of Omiš is based on the historical coat of arms: azure a Latin cross and a spiked mace both or.
