Coat of Arms
by Zeljko Heimer, 31 October 2003
Ceminac (C<eminac), community some 15 km due north of Osjiek in Baranya with about 6000
inhabitants of which somewhat over 1000 lives in the main village
of the same name.
The coat of arms of Ceminac is: Azure a Lion rampant double-queued Or holding a Plough-share Argent. The plough-share (in Croatian "leme") is a frequent element of the rural communities' coats of arms in Slavonia (and Hungary, too). The Coat of Arms may well be from 19th century, but at themement I have no info. Unfortunately, I have no data on eventual flag. The Coat of Arms image is adapted from <www.osjecko-baranjska-zupanija.hr>.
