I knew of the Coat of Arms of the city of Cazma in Bjelovar-Bilogora County for some time. Few days ago, on TV report from Cazma, I saw a yellow flag with this Coat of Arms hoisted there.

Cazma is a city in the Bjelovar-Bilogora County some 25 km southwest of Bjelovar, 30 km east of Zagreb, about 8,000 inhabitants, the city itself some 3,000. It was a community until 1997, when it was upgraded to a city.
The flag is yellow with the coat of arms in the middle, adopted estimate around 1995. The coat of arms of modern (but heraldically decent) design is in red shield on a green mount a white church with two blue roofed bell-towers between ruined yellow embattled walls and in base a blue wavy line.
The wavy line represents the river Cesma (which is only a variations of the city name). The parish church of St. Mary Magdalene is a romanic church with gothic elements, being the bigest romanic based church in Croatia, baroquised in 18th cnetury. In 13th century the place received the marketplace rights. In 16th century Cazma was conquered by Turks and was made capital of a sanjak (soon moved to Pakrac). Liberated in 17th century and refortified. The fortifications seen on the coat of arms are not visible today.
