History of Armement Maritime M. Sarich

The company was created in 1946 by M. Sarich to serve lines from Marseilles and Port-Vendres to Bastia and Ile-Rousse (Corsica) and Algiers. Sarich operated two small tankers, MS Villerville and Samarine. MS Villerville was sold to Boersma in 1952 and went down with all hands between Corsica and Marseilles on 11 August 1952. MS Samarine was sold and renamed Lucia-Alma in 1951, and burned and ran aground in Augusta (Sicily) on 19 January 1961.
