Saint-Quay-Portrieux is a municipality made by the reunion of Saint-Quay and Portrieux, two maritime villages separated by a cape. It is a well-known seaside resort, now disfigured by a huge harbour station.

The municipal flag, widely used in the city, is vertically divided blue and yellow.

A light blue burgee with two thin red stripe was seen as a very old painting on a CVP booth. It is probably an outdated version of the CVP burgee.

The list of the clubs affiliated to Yacht Club de France shows a third burgee for CVP, horizontally divided blue-red-blue-red-blue.
