The Mouvement National Républicain (MNR) is led by Bruno Mégret. The MNR is an extreme-right party whose origin was a split of Jean Marie Le Pen's Front National. The split caused a legal case because both leaders claimed the copyright on the name Front National, the symbol of the party, the members' list, the buildings and the funds. Le Pen won the case and Mégret was forced to find another name and symbol for his party.
The colors of the flag are the French national colours, blue, white and red. The central symbol is an oak leaf.
