The flag of the Persian Empire from 'Reign: The Obsession of Alexander,' a very strange retelling of the life and conquests of Alexander the Great. I am curious of the historicity of this design, and of its moon-and-star device. I recall someone in the series saying 'the moon is the symbol of Persia.' I see nothing to suggest this on the ancient Iran pages at fotw.

Pure invention, apart from the lack of flags in the modern sense
around that period (or more importantly, lack of any proof). The
creator seem to have given a islamic symbol to the persians which in
itself is quite anachronistic.

Identical to the persian flag but for a golden
triagle in the upper hoist. It belongs to the Imperial cavalry.
