Adopted: 6 May 1997. Ratio: 1:1. Saarde is a rural municipality (vald) in Parnumaa County (Maakond).

From <> (defunct): Gold symbolizes the happiness and comfort. This is also color of coat of arms of Pärnumaa. Leaves of  ash refer to forest richness and to the name of municipality (Estonian saar is ash). Red circles refer to many fields of berries.
