I believe Stahl refers to a steel factory, by comparison with the
football-club Stahl Riesa in the former GDR.

This burgee - and a few others - are clearly inspired in the Imperial
war ensign. I assume that all those clubs were established at least
before World War Two.

The yacht club website also
shows an unidentified burgee similar to the Israeli flag
— a white pennant with a (fully) blue six-pointed star and two blue horizontal
stripes near the top and bottom.
