The plant is a heather-flower (Czech: vřes). I took the flower from
this
webpage.
Description (in Czech): Při tvorbě nových obecních symbolů, které
navrhl Richard Junker, byl využit název obce. Znak má tedy ve stříbrném
štítě zelenou snítku vřesu s jedním červeným květem mezi dvěma poupaty.
Totéž tzv. mluvící znamení nese i bílý list obecního praporu.
Number of inhabitants by 31.12. 2000: 1306. Originally, The village
was first mentioned in 1270. This small village of an agrarian character
started developed in the 50s and 60th of this century. At those days, many
terraced houses were built in the place named na Chabovci. In 1998 new
houses were built in the Za školou street.
