Manchuoko

The five-color flag was not used in the canton of the flag of Manchuoko as some might believe. The Manchuoko flag is a yellow field with four small stripes of red, blue, white and black in the canton.

Bruce Ward posted this flag recently and he mentioned that the field was not yellow, but more orange. I noticed the same color from the October, 1917, National Geographic. Yet the suggestion that the Manchukuo flag had the five-color Chinese Republican flag in the canton and that the field was yellow is still persistent.
