About the Flag of Cambé

The flag of Cambé, designed by the architect Evertone Sola, was chosen in a 1967 contest to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the municipality's incorporation. It was formally adopted by law no. 26 of 3 October 1967. It is described as two stripes [green on a white field] symbolizing the developmental activities of the region in parallel with the principal resource, coffee, represented by a stylized coffee bean in its red color phase. The vertical direction of the stripes suggests the ascent of the municipality. The white field is a sign of the climate of peace and union that is essential to progress.
