The flag and Coat of Arms of the
Municipality of Trnovo, in the Sarajevo Canton, in the Federation
of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Trnovo Municipality was before the war
part of the City of Sarajevo, but in 1995 was divided so that the
town of Trnovo itself stayed in Republika Srpska, being seat of
the omonimous municipality, with one part of it remaining in the
Federation making up the new Trnovo (Federation) Municipality.
The flag is a 2:3 green-white-cyan tricolour with the Trnovo
(Federation) coat of arms in the middle. Apparently, green
represents "fields, woods and mountains"; blue
"the rivers and the air", whereas white apparently (so
the website) represents "traditions and snowy
mountains". The coat of arms represents the scenery and a
typical Bosnian tombstone (called stecak, also seen eg. on the
Stolac flag).
For more info check <www.trnovo.org>.
The Municipality, however, has no more than 1,000 people living
in it.
