In Australia there is no single coast guard. The duty of coastal surveillance falls on the Navy, as well as a number of other organizations. In South-Eastern Australia this is the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol. The RVCP flag (afloat and ashore) is navy blue, swallow-tailed, 2:3, with a flying albatross standing on a foul anchor crowned by a naval crown, all in yellow.

Other Flags flown by the RVCP

The RVCP is entitled to fly two other flags afloat and ashore. Since 1940, it is entitled to fly the New South Wales Ensign (State Flag). It is not certain whether it flies this flag outside NSW. Since 1945 it is also entitled to fly the Nemesis Pennant of the NSW Water Police due to the fact that, during the early days of the RVCP, its members were 'Special Police Constables' of the 'Water Police Reserve'. . It is a trapezoidal flag, ratio 1:2, quarterly white and navy blue; in the canton is the word NEMESIS sans-serif in red; in the lower fly are the initials RVCP sans-serif in red.
