Description of the Flag

The City of Botany Bay, formerly the Municipality of Botany, is located on the northern shores of Botany Bay just south east of central Sydney. It includes half of Sydney Airport.

The council flag consists of a light blue background, with the council logo in orange and white in the hoist. The logo includes a representation of a banksia flower (named after Sir Joseph Banks, botanist on the Endeavour, whose exploits in the area are responsible for the name). In the fly, the lower part of the logo is repeated 4 (possibly 5) times.

The image of the flag is made out of the logo on the council webiste http://www.botanybay.nsw.gov.au/. I have seen the flag flying outside a council building in Eastlakes.
